Going, Going, Gone!
As you may have read in my on-line diary, I went on a little trip around the Fatherland this summer to take in the whole World Cup experience. I went to a stack of games, hung out with fans from all around the world and had a great time. And when I came back I realized that I had shirts, scarves, flags and all sorts of all different nations.

Seeing as quite a few of my friends were playing in the competition, I asked them to help me get a load of the stuff signed so that I could auction it all off for charity. Since then, I've added a few extra bits and pieces from my Premiership connections, and it all adds up to a pretty unique collection. I've even thrown in my legendary Nike boots with "The Hoff" embroidered on to them - worn only once, and with a 100% strike rate, as I scored my only Premiership goal in them!

Thanks to the good people at Auctioning4u, all this rare football memorabilia is now available for you to bid on - and if you're successful, not only will you be getting your hands on some fantastic gear (some of this stuff could make you SERIOUSLY popular on Christmas morning!), but you'll be helping two charities that are very close to my heart....

The Princes Trust is a great organization that helps disillusioned young people on our very doorsteps. Youngsters can often get on the wrong track because of various circumstances. But even when they find themselves in seemingly hopeless situations, with help they can get back on track. We all have talents, and by achieving a goal or by participating in a project, many of these youngsters can regain some confidence and belief. And this is central to the work of the Princes Trust.

I have met thousands of people through football and many of them are now good friends, and Kick4Life operates on the same principle. They use the unifying power of football to fight poverty and disease and to bring hope and opportunities to some of the world's poorest countries - Greg, I'll be cheering for you at the marathon!!!!!
